It's been a while...

It's been a while since I've posted anything...
But...in the past couple of weeks, a lot has gone on!

Kirk and I finished our bedroom and bathroom painting, and got all of our new furniture! I LOVE it. It is so much more relaxing in there now. I will post pictures when we get the crown molding up.

Andie graduated high school last weekend...she's now officially an AGGIE! yay!!!
I have pretty much finalized everything for the wedding. Now it's just a waiting game. It's getting so close and I am so anxious for the day to finally be here. Really, I just want the day to be here so I can wear my GORGEOUS dress...but I guess all the other events of the day will be nice too :)

This weekend we are heading out to float the Guadalupe! Kirk and I, along with my new sister and brother (Rachey and Mike), will be heading out there for a mini-vacay. Rach and I have been looking forward to this forever!

I heart Friday

Thank goodness it's Friday! So first off--although I am not normally a huge sports fanatic...I must say that I am a little excited about the Rockets potentially making it to the western conference finals. I am actually looking forward to watching the game on Sunday. GO ROCKETS!

In addition to watching the Rockets game this weekend, Kirk and I are painting our bedroom/bathroom. I started the bathroom already...chocolate brown :) And we're doing the bedroom tonight...a gray/taupeish color. So excited to have it all done and our new furniture to be here next week! I've had enough of the pink walls and hodge-podge furniture.

AND...Andie's prom is tomorrow. I am so excited for her, but at the same time a little sad. I can't believe my little sister is about to graduate high school! But the fact that she made the (smart) decision to go to Texas A&M, makes it a little easier to bear :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wedding **Highlights**

September 26th is approaching quickly...very quickly...and we're so freaking excited. I'm not sure if we're more excited to finally be husband and wife, or to be laying on the beaches of Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It's really a tough call :)

We're getting married downtown at the super fabulous, beautiful and HUGE Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 2:30 p.m. Lots of food/fun/memories to be made at the Downtown Club afterward. Then, we are off to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to stay at the Riu!

I've booked a block of rooms at both the Four Seasons Houston (which connects to the reception facility...you can crawl there after the reception :) and at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Houston (just a few blocks away, within walking distance). The Four Seasons rate is $135 (king rooms only, but they have cots?) and the Courtyard Marriott is $89 (king or double beds). Both reference the Handy/Franco block to get the rate.

The soon-to-be's

I've finally decided to become a blogger to keep everyone up to date on the happenings on the (soon-to-be) Franco family...for now we're still just: Brittany, Kirk, Raisyn and Reece. It's also going to temporarily serve as a means of getting our wedding information out to those of you who will be sharing our day with us. Bare with me as I figure this all out... :)

As of right now, I am slightly...okay, VERY...bummed that one of my bestie's is leaving me for a place called Vegas. She is one of a kind, and I am going to miss her terribly. So Amy, a few thoughts to leave The Woodlands with...Vivian, the toe, feta on pizza, Wade and buntings.
